This week, Kanela has the honor to be our CARFIE Of The Week. She is about 5 years old and has been patiently waiting to be adopted for 1.5 years now.
Kanela was our ‘CARFIE Of The Week’ once before, back in February 2019. Unfortunately no one came for her, and she is still waiting for her forever family today. In the meantime, she has mastered the art of laying around in the yard, occasionally barking at people passing by the gate, and enjoying time with her doggy friends.
Kanela is currently living with a foster family while she waits for her new home. Here’s what her current foster mom has to say about her: “Kanela is a very loving girl, and one of the easiest dogs I’ve ever fostered. She’s got such a great personality, and her manners in the home are outstanding. It is clear that she loves people and is more than willing to show it when she feels comfortable and safe. She is social but at the same time independent; she likes to stay close to her humans, but does that in the most peaceful way ever. Kanela also gets along great with other dogs and she enjoys their company. She is definitely ready for adoption and I’m sure she will adapt to her new home fairly quickly!”
Kanela is a medium-sized dog with an interesting and unique coat. We think in the past, someone may have poured a liquid substance over her coat. We’re not sure what exactly happened, but her coat recovered fairly well although marks are still visible.
