😞 Turning a blind eye is not something that we're good at. Even though we're stretching capacity as it is, and some of our dedicated volunteers are leaving the island due to the pandemic, we couldn't possibly say 'no' to helping Baya.

🐶 So we did what had to be done and we rescued this sweet but oh-so skinny girl off the streets. We received a plea for help from Brigitte, or as we call her, Baya's guardian angel. Weighing only 11.5 kilos, we don't know how much longer Baya would have been able to survive on her own. Baya is not only malnourished, she was covered in thousands of fleas and is running a very high fever.

💊 We rushed Baya to our vet who gave her Doxycylcine, Nandrosol, Dexamethason, and Nexgard Spectra ― adding even more costs to our ever rising vet bill. Baya is very weak, but with time, patience, and understanding we are hopeful that she will blossom into a healthy and happy pet. We will be updating you along her journey to recovery.

Do you want to help support Baya's recovery process? Donations are so very welcome:
