Thinking About Fostering? Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Fostering a CARFIE is an amazing and rewarding experience! As a foster parent, you get to teach a dog that they can trust humans and other animals again. You will show a CARFIE how to feel safe and how to experience love.  In doing so, you’ll play a key role in giving your CARFIE a chance for a better life.

CARF will guide you through the whole fostering process. We’ll provide you with food, and veterinary care.  We’re always available to help and advise you whenever you need us.  CARF always matches a CARFIE in need with the right foster home  All we ask from you is to create a safe place for your CARFIE, take him or her to regular checkups, and make sure he or she eats well and gets enough exercise.

We often get questions like: “but isn’t it hard when they leave for their forever home?” We are not going to lie. The answer is, “Yes, of course, it is” because you will likely get attached to your foster CARFIE. But when you get photos and updates from their forever homes and see how they are thriving in their new environment, you’ll understand why you started doing this in the first place.  You’ve helped give your CARFIE a new future and a second chance in life!

CARF has a strict adoption policy. We make sure that every new home is a safe place, a home where our CARFIES will be loved and cared for. We make sure they never end up in the same situation they came from.
