Meet Twix and Nas, two of the latest additions to the ever-growing CARF family. These two ladies had a home but were surrendered when their family moved abroad. Unfortunately, Twix and Nas couldn’t come along. Our rescue right now is fuller than ever, while adoptions are at an all-time low. Thankfully, a foster family stepped up for Twix and Nas, so we were able to help these sweet dogs.
So, a bit more about our latest rescues. Nas is a medium-sized dog, while Twix is a small-medium-sized dog. They are socialized, used to kids, and get along well with other dogs. They are housetrained and low-medium energy. Fortunately, they have adjusted very well to their foster family. You might think it shouldn’t be too hard to find them a new home, but you’d be wrong.
Nas is 11+ years old, and Twix is 10+ years. Finding a home for a senior dog is rarely easy, let alone for a bonded pair. So while they get along well and would be happy to stay together, they can be adopted individually. They don’t ask for much. Just a good home (or homes) where they will be cared for and loved.
We haven’t had any takers thus far, but are hopeful someone will come along. Both are very loyal and loving companions. If we could find them a home where they can spend their last years being loved and cared for, we’d be so happy. Chances may be slim but we have seen ‘adoption miracles’ before so we remain hopeful.
