Welcome to the ever-growing CARF family, Sake and Sapporo!
Sake and Sapporo were found by one of our volunteers. These poor babies were living under a shipping container on an abandoned lot. They were covered in fleas and ticks and were starving. It took us a week of feeding and gaining their trust before they let us put them in the car. Once we finally had them, we took them to the veterinarian as soon as possible. Poor Sapporo was barely moving and wouldn’t eat anything.
Blood tests confirmed that they were severely anemic. Sapporo’s platelet level was 8! Both pups are malnourished, have tick fever, and they are dealing with skin issues to pile on. Fortunately, both are safe now. They will no longer have to live underneath a shipping container or scavenge for food. They are on medication and on their way to full recovery. Your kind help covering their medical expenses is so needed at this moment! We appreciate all the help we can get.
