🐾 2-year-old Loela was living in the Car Park at Campo Alegre where she was being fed and taken care of by a lady with a big heart. This kind lady contacted CARF for help in treating Loela for a TVT.
Our first priority was to spay Loela so that the tumor would not be passed on to any other dogs. Our vet discovered that she also has tick-borne disease so we will treat this before she can start chemo for the TVT.
Loela is a beautiful dog with distinctive black and tan markings. She is well-built and strong so we expect her to make a full recovery.
Loela’s not ready for rehoming yet, but stay posted for updates on this smart, stunning young dog. She is available for fostering.
Tick fever and TVTs are treatable but the medication is expensive! With 140 dogs in our care, it’s a struggle to keep our heads above water. If you can contribute in any small way, we would be so grateful for your help 🙏🙏🙏
