This oceanfront restaurant in the vibrant Pietermaai District used to be known as Scuba Lodge Restaurant. Since its extensive renovation, finished June 2020, it has become a wonderful place to enjoy a well-deserved cup of coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks (they have a daily happy hour between 5:00-7:00 PM) while taking in the beautiful ocean views. De Heeren @ sea is open 7 days per week from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM. You can take a seat on the covered patio or on the beach area. Your dogs are more than welcome to join you as long as they are on a leash and well behaved.
Dive City Curaçao

Just a few steps down the road from De Heeren @ sea, you will find Dive City Curaçao (formerly known as City Beach 88). It’s the one and only city beach in the Pietermaai District, which is great if you are looking forward for a beach day without having to leave Willemstad. You are welcome to bring your dogs here ― in the past, Dive City has even co-hosted dog adoption events and puppy meet & greets! They have a somewhat famous weekly happy hour on Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 PM which is frequented by scuba divers. Make sure to try their (vegan) pizzas, they are said to be the best on the island.
Plein Café Wilhelmina

The established and iconic Plein Café Wilhelmina is open daily from 07:00 AM tot 10:00 PM. The restaurant offers more than 40 different types of beers and is well-known for their ever-changing daily specials. Every day, they have a different dinner special for only Nafl. 14,50 per meal. Their specials change every week and are announced on their social media pages. So hop on over to Plein Café Wilhelmina, order your favorite beer, and sit and relax at their outdoor patio while Fido enjoys a bowl of water. It’s a great spot for people watching or taking a break from shopping.

Other than the restaurants previously mentioned, Discover Lagun is not located in or near the city. You can find this restaurant just steps away from Playa Lagun, a small public beach, about 30 kilometres northwest of Willemstad. You won’t see any ocean views at Discover Lagun, but it’s a nice spot to enjoy a meal and refreshing drink before or after visiting the beach. They offer sandwiches, salads, soups, burgers, pizzas, and they have a weekly grill night on Wednesdays from 5:00-8:00 PM. In addition to meat and fish dishes, they also offer several vegetarian dishes. Plus, your dog is welcome to come along with you. Just be sure your friend won’t go chasing after any sneaky iguanas!

At ‘In de Buurt Café Restaurant’ you (and your dog!) are welcome for lunch and dinner. The kitchen is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 – 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 – 9:00 PM, they are closed on Mondays. The restaurant is located at Caracasbaaiweg 218A, close to Luna Park Maxi Market. In De Buurt is a family-run business; mother Miriam takes your order and brings you your food, father Chris fixes your drinks, and son and Chef Corbin cooks and prepares your food with the help of girlfriend Josy. Make sure to try their famous ‘Champignon de Dordogne’ (mushrooms in beer batter)!

You probably know that the colorful Handelskade, the historic waterfront strip in Punda, is a favorite photo-op for professional photographers and visitors alike. But did you know that it’s also a great place to bring your dog? At the iconic Iguana Café, your dogs are welcome as long as they are well-behaved and stay by your side. If you go into Punda, this is a great place for some people watching and sight seeing. The tables are situated right at the water’s edge so you can watch the boats go by. Plus, from Mondays to Fridays between 6:00-7:00 PM, Iguana Cafe offers you a 50% discount on your favorite alcohol beverages.

This coffee spot is not just very Instagram-friendly, it happens to be pet-friendly as well! Number Ten opened its door in October 2017 and has wowed the island with their freshly brewed coffees and their charming and creatively designed spaces ever since. If you’re a lover of pastries, baked goods and desserts, you won’t be disappointed, as Number Ten sells many. Make sure to check out their Instagram account ― it’s like stepping into a photography exhibition. Number Ten is open for coffee, breakfast and lunch from Mondays to Fridays between 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM, but they are closed on weekends.
Eetcafé De Buurvrouw

De Buurvrouw is kind of a must-stop on your way to, or from Westpunt. Shaded underneath a huge palapa, you can dine on steak, seafood specialties, skewers, pizzas, and vegetarian courses, while your doggy friend lounges in the shade at your feet. They regularly offer meat specials and tapas nights, so you might want to check their Facebook for any upcoming events. De Buurvrouw is closed on Mondays, but open from Tuesdays to Sundays between 12:00 and 9:00 PM.

Café de Tijd / Eetbar Op=Op is well known for their ribs and grilled meats, but a word to the wise — get there early. They sell out quickly, and often. As long as your dog is well behaved and not bothering anyone, you’re welcome to bring your four-legged friend. The outside picnic tables are a perfect spot for your dog to relax and take in the view, while you’re enjoying your meal. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but open from 4:00 – 10:00 PM all other days of the week.

KoffieKaatje is a cute coffee shop in Zuikertuin Mall with an outdoor patio where your dogs are welcome to join you. Before or after your shopping spree, you can make a stop at KoffieKaatje to grab some coffee and a delicious pastry. They are known for their macarons, high teas, and French pastries. KoffieKaatje is open Mondays till Saturdays from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

The Pier is an oceanfront bar & restaurant located at the end of the Caracasbaaiweg. As long as your dog is leashed, they are allowed to tag along. You can find The Pier at the end of the Caracasbaaiweg, left from the roundabout. They are open for lunch and dinner from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, but closed on Mondays.
