Who remembers Graziela? Two years ago, we were able to rescue her and her four puppies after they had been cruelly dumped amidst the trash at Curaçao’s landfill facility Malpais. While in our care, and thanks to the support and donations from our followers, Graziela has blossomed from trash into treasure. She is more than ready to be adopted!
Graziela’s Rescue Story
In September 2018, Graziela and her four pups were dumped at landfill facility Malpais. Fortunately, a kind and caring staff member of Malpais alerted CARF after he found her. Graziela was entangled in some bushes by the chain that her owner couldn’t be bothered to remove, or maybe recently bought with the purpose of dumping her and her little ones. The staff member managed to secure them until our team arrived with the proper supplies to transport them to safety. Graziela’s puppies were nine weeks old when we rescued them. All four babies were worm-ridden, malnourished, emaciated and petrified. Graziela has a broken pelvis and a dislocated hip, not to mention the psychological trauma of what she has endured.
From Trash to Treasure
Ever since, Graziela has been in our care. Although we enjoy having her around, we would love for her to find her forever home. Her life wasn’t always easy (and at times she can still be a bit insecure) so she really deserves to find her forever home. We feel that she would blossom in a household without a lot going on. Maybe a fenced yard for her to wander in, and a loving human(s) who has lots of time to dote on her. She is very affectionate and tenderly loving, and will make an incredible companion pet!
