The name Popeye is somehow both cute and tough-sounding, and that is exactly how we would describe our Popeye! Popeye is a tough cookie, with a heart of gold. He was rescued when he was just a little puppy. Together with his brother Brutus and his sister Olive (Olijfje), we got him off the streets and into our care. But that was five years ago, and he is still waiting for someone to adopt him.
Popeye and his siblings were severely dehydrated and on the brink of giving up on life when they were found at San Juan Beach. But they taught us to never underestimate the power of quality food, proper care, and CARFIELOVE. Within days, this trio bounced back to being healthy and happy puppies.
Popeye is completely housetrained and gets along wonderfully with humans and other dogs. He is a handsome, friendly, and playful guy with a lot of love to give. This sweet boy has a lot of energy and enjoys going for walks. He would make a great hiking/running partner. Sometimes he goes out for walks with our volunteers and he is great at keeping pace.
He is healthy, has been microchipped, neutered, and is up-to-date with his vaccinations.
